Altered Mason Jar Prima-Style!

Hello, I hope your Monday is being good to you! I've got a fun little Prima project to share with today...

This really fun altered mason jar!

As you can see I  had a ball decorating it ;) Lots of things going on here, Prima Mechanicals, resist canvas, Finnabair Art Ingredients beads and glass glitter, all highlighted with Color Bloom mists, mica plus ultra thick embossing crystals.

There is a slight Alice In Wonderland theme going on here, what with the cards and the rabbit (aka King Bun). I just love how the he turned out, transformed from a beige bun by painting him in Eggshell Chalkboard paint and then adding little crown made from a tiny Prima "Mechanicals" flower. I've shabbied the playing cards up with inks and added some subtle stamping.

Doesn't he look dapper?!

I hope I've inspired you to get altering! Don't forget to check out the Prima blog for some other great ideas!

New Card Tutorial+Etsy Update

Hi everyone! I have a new video tutorial for you today. I created this a while back and have finally got around to posting it *oops*. Also just to tag onto this post, I have updated my Etsy shop with some Christmas cards. That time of year will be looming once more lol.

As you can see there is a lot of texture in there, plus I use various techniques using book pages.

All the papers, embellishments, flowers etc are from Prima's Cigar Box Secrets collection. And some glass glitter makes an appearance too...

So please feel free to check out the tutorial. Enjoy!

Time for September's Prima Product Pick

Hey ho! It's Prima Product Picks time, and this month we have this beautious Autumnal palette to work with :

 Another rustic offering from me!

I've mixed up the papers on this card, combining designs from Cigar Box Secrets, Forever Green and Coffee Break together. Don't they work well together?!

I picked out flowers from the inspo picture mixed in with feathers, rustic cardboard and a mini pencil.

Lots of highlighting with gold ink and gesso plus some beautiful Art Extravagance Copper Crackle. Spot the little birdie? He's been colour tinted with Pro Markers and mica powder.

It's Iconic!

Hello! Hope you're doing well. Can you believe we've rolled into September already?! Today on the Prima blog we have a wood theme going on...

I was all about  taking the new season into this tag, with the main focus being these awesome wooden stag icons from the Cigar Box Secrets collection. Love!

I pulled the warm brown and peach tones from Cigar Box Secrets together pale aqua from the Coffee Break collection. These colours work fabulously together, whilst not being too masculine or feminine - just in the middle :)

As you can see from the close up, I layered two stag icons together to give extra dimension and highlighted with gold ink. The beautiful flower sprig started off lilac, but with the help of some paint, Tea Stain Color Bloom mist and bronze mica it has been transformed into rustic, Autumnal tones to complement the rest of the tag.

I stamped and snipped the greeting. A great way to make your greetings pop!

Have a great day x
